This Cookie Policy explains how CHASTITY TRACKER® ("Website," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our Website or use your account, including through the browser-based or installed Progressive Web App (PWA). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites function properly, remember certain settings, improve security, and in some cases measure how the service is used.
We may also use similar technologies, such as local storage or comparable browser-based technologies, where appropriate for the same general purposes described in this Policy.
How We Use Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate, protect, and improve the Website.
Depending on the context, these technologies may be used to keep you logged in, remember certain preferences, maintain security, prevent abuse, and understand general Website usage.
Not all cookies serve the same purpose. Some are strictly necessary for the Website to function, while others are optional and may be used only where permitted by law and, where required, with your consent.
Types of Cookies We May Use
Strictly Necessary Cookies:
These cookies are essential for core Website functionality and cannot be switched off in our systems where they are required for the service to operate.
They may be used for account authentication, session management, security checks, consent-state storage, fraud prevention, load balancing, and other technical functions necessary to provide the service you request.
Without these cookies, important parts of the Website - including login-protected features - may not function correctly.
Where Google Sign-In is used, authentication-related cookies or similar technologies may be required to complete the login process and protect against fraud or cross-site request forgery.
Our existing authentication and session cookies also support two-factor authentication. They associate your browser with temporary sign-in state and security-verification information held on our servers. The authenticator secret and recovery codes are not stored in these cookies.
Generating or downloading a recovery-code PDF does not introduce additional analytics or advertising cookies. The PDF is generated in your browser and can be saved on your device when you choose to download it.
Preference Cookies:
These cookies remember choices you make in order to improve your experience on the Website, such as certain interface, device, or consent-related preferences.
They are used to provide a more consistent experience but are not intended for advertising purposes.
Analytics Cookies or Similar Technologies:
We may use analytics tools, such as Google Analytics 4, to better understand how visitors interact with the Website, measure traffic, detect technical issues, and improve performance and usability.
Where required by applicable law, analytics cookies or similar technologies will be used only after you have given valid consent.
Analytics data is used in aggregate form to help us improve the Website and is not used by us to serve third-party advertising on the Website.
Installed Web App and Browser Storage
The PWA uses the Website's existing sign-in and session cookies to access your account. Installing it does not create a separate account or require an integration API token. A browser and its installed app may share cookies, while other browser/app contexts may keep separate sessions.
The app uses the following additional browser storage for its requested functions and your choices. These entries are separate from optional analytics cookies.
Local storage: Appearance, the last messaging area opened, and notification/diagnostic choices. Keys use tracker:<app path>: followed by theme, messaging-area, notifications or diagnostics. The Website's app announcement and the app's installation hint also remember an explicit dismissal using website-promo-dismissed and install-promo-dismissed under that prefix. These values contain only the dismissal choice, are separate for beta and production, and do not record visits or clicks. There is no app-set expiry: values are replaced when you change a choice, or removed when you clear the site's browser data.
Session storage: Yes/no flags named pending, message-pending and chat-pending under the same app-path prefix. They help prevent automatically repeating a save or send when its result is uncertain and do not contain draft or message bodies. Flags are updated when the action is confirmed or reconciled and remain for the browser/app page session, which a browser may restore after reopening, or until you clear the site's data.
Service worker and Cache Storage: Public app scripts, styles, icons and an offline notice. Cache names start tracker-pwa:. Account pages, API responses, tracker histories and conversations are excluded from this app-managed cache. Older asset caches are removed when an update activates; the current cache/worker can remain until the browser removes them or you clear the site's data.
Push subscription and permission: If you enable notifications, the browser manages its push-service address, subscription keys and notification permission. Tracker also registers the address, subscription material and preferences on its server to deliver the alerts you requested. Use Account → Notifications and browser/operating-system settings to manage them. A browser permission can remain after the subscription is disabled. See the Privacy Policy for server records and retention.
Unsent drafts and displayed account data are held in app memory during use rather than stored as an offline account database. Your browser may separately keep its own cache, history or downloaded files according to its settings.
Installing the PWA does not itself enable Google Analytics or advertising cookies. Linked Website pages continue to follow the Website's cookie choices. Push notifications and diagnostic reports are optional, off until enabled, and controlled separately from analytics consent.
To stop alerts, use Turn off on this device in the app or revoke notification permission. To remove stored preferences, cached assets and other site data, use your browser's site-data controls; removing a Home Screen icon alone may leave them in place. Clearing authentication cookies signs you out but does not delete the account or information held on the server.
Third-Party Technologies
Some cookies or similar technologies may be set by trusted third-party providers that help us operate, secure, or analyze the Website.
For example, if enabled, analytics services such as Google Analytics 4 may place or read cookies or similar identifiers in accordance with their own documentation and privacy terms.
We encourage you to review the privacy and cookie information provided by any relevant third-party services for further details on how those technologies operate.
If you choose to use Google Sign-In, Google may set or read cookies, local storage, or similar technologies needed to display the Google login button, prevent abuse, maintain security, and complete the authentication process. These technologies are provided by Google and may be necessary for the Google Sign-In feature to work.
Legal Basis and Consent
Strictly necessary cookies are used because they are required for the secure operation of the Website and for providing services you request, such as maintaining your authenticated session.
Other cookies or similar technologies that are not strictly necessary, including analytics technologies where applicable, are used on the basis of consent where required by law.
You can withdraw or change your consent preferences at any time, subject to the technical limitations of your browser or any consent tools we make available.
Cookie Duration
Some cookies are session cookies and are deleted automatically when you close your browser.
Other cookies are persistent cookies and remain on your device for a limited period or until you delete them, depending on their purpose.
The exact retention period may vary depending on the cookie or technology used and the function it supports.
Managing Cookies
Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings, including the ability to block or delete cookies.
Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Website from working correctly, including account login and other core features.
If a consent mechanism is available on the Website, you may also use it to manage non-essential cookies or similar technologies.
Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, or legal obligations.
We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated policy on the Website and, where appropriate, by showing a notice at login or elsewhere within the service.
Reviewing or acknowledging this policy does not change your choices for optional cookies. Where a change requires new consent, we will request it through the cookie consent controls before using the affected optional technologies.
Contact Us
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Cookie Policy or our use of cookies and similar technologies, please write to us using the contact page.
Please note that this Cookie Policy applies only to cookies and similar technologies used through our Website and related services. For more information about how we process personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.
